I’m back…
Well, I took a three month leave from blogging to collect my thought and figure out where I wanted to go with this blog. I had tackled all of the projects/ideas that I had and had a major case of writers block. I was looking for different ideas/topics while still staying true to the whole meaning of this blog…living with frills while paying for those frills frugally. So here we are…I’m back back and ready to roll out some new post for you.
Checkpoints…
I came across an article in the November Family Circle that talks about a company that will actually pay you to use their app. It’s really simple. You just download the app from from your app store. It’s available on the Apple iPhone Store and the Android Market. Once you’ve downloaded it, just check to see which stores are available in your area and you can can start scanning. When you scan the items that they want you to scan, you earn points. You can trade your points in for gift cards, electronics or even charitable donations! We already go to the grocery store, why not score a few extras in the process?
This write up is of personal opinion. I am not being paid or rewarded by the company for this review.

(NOTE: I may add to this later on in the day when I have a paper ad in my hand. The digital ad makes the fine print a little hard to read.)

Changes around F2F….
You may have noticed that there have been some changes throughout the evening. My blog officially became 1 month old on Wednesday, so I thought it deserved a face that looked a little more permanent than what I started with. I’ll be making more changes and adding more options throughout the weekend, so stop in and see what’s changing.
If you have a topic that you would liked discussed on F2F, please use the contact link and send in a message. I would be happy to review it.
Thanks for following. I hope you like what you’ve seen so far, and what is yet to come!

Ron’s Supermarket Ad Match
I’ve had a few people ask if I would start doing ad matches for Ron’s, so I’m going to start doing these starting with next Wednesday’s ad. Please let me know if this is a benefit for you. Thanks!
Great Buy at Ron’s Supermarket on Meat!
If you haven’t heard, Ron’s Supermarket in Pittsburg is running a lot of promotions right now to promote their new website. In doing so, they have offered a mobile only deal. If you text message the word RONS to 72727, they will send you back a message to get a free $5 gift card. It’s really simple, once you send the message, you will get one back. All you have to do is go to the customer service counter and show them your text message and they will give you a gift card. Today, they sent a text message to me for $10 off a 10 lb. family pack of ground chuck. The price per pound is $2.69, so it roughly about $26.90, give or take a few cents. Once you subtract the $10 from showing them the text message and the $5 gift card for signing up for text messages, you have 10 lbs. of ground chuck for $11.90! That’s 1.19 a lb! Pretty hard to beat!
Now to get motivated and so some freezer cooking with all of that ground chuck!
